This is the kind of deviation that backtests cannot capture. The backtest would have shown the bot sitting out the Beige Book release and re-entering after the volatility subsided. The live bot did not follow the spec. When we contacted the provider about the deviation, they acknowledged the bug and released a patch, but the $1,700 loss was not reimbursed.
